Stitching together – the fabric of a great community!

The Sisters in Stitches slow group has been meeting twice a month now for over a year, and is one of our successful additions to the Teesdale Day Clubs activity programme.

Funded by the Know Your Neighbourhood fund through Point North since 2024, and the PCP’s Happiness Hub fund now, this small group has grown and woven a magic into the fabric of the community around Cotherstone.
New dates are coming soon for 2026.

Woodland & Butterknowle community lunches

Our community lunch club at Woodland has been struggling with numbers for some time. But recent funding from the PCP Happiness Hub and Point North Community Grants pot have been making a real difference. 
We have been trialling our lunches at the village hall in Butterknowle and our general manager Amanda has been working hard to raise awareness for what we offer and how we support people by talking to community members from the GP practice and Patient Participation group.
Numbers are beginning to rise…
