On 3 August, Dr Sam Rushworth MP Member of Parliament for the Bishop Auckland Constituency was warmly welcomed when he attended a Cuppas, Cakes and Company afternoon at Lands Village Hall, an event organised in partnership between the new Lands VH Committee and Teesdale Day Clubs.
About 30 people attended this informal event which was part of the MP’s extensive Summer Roadshow timetable, providing the opportunity to discuss local issues important to them. Everyone, across the generations, also enjoyed making connections in the community, chatting over a cuppa and delicious cakes.
This was the second successful Cuppas event at Lands this month. More are planned, with the next one being Monday 17th August hosted by Chef 1.30 – 1.30-3pm …we hope to see you there!
