community support in Teesdale – how to get extra help

Our Community Support Worker

There are times when we all need some additional help, and when you’re taking part in one of our core services or groups, you can ask us for support with a wide range of things you may be worried about and don’t know who else to ask.

Everyone who attends a lunch club, or is accessing our other services, is eligible for free, at-home one-to-one support when a need arises. Our Community Worker can arrange either a home visit or a phone call during the week, at a time that suits you.

Nothing is too large or small to ask for help with, and all your conversations are confidential, providing there is no immediate risk to you, or to anyone else’s health and safety.

If our Community Worker doesn’t know the answer to your query or request straight away, they will find someone who does.

How do I get community support in Teesdale?

You can ask your Club Leader at your lunch club or any member of our staff team, to put you in touch with our Community Worker. No further information is required providing  you are already part of one of our clubs or groups.

The Community Worker regularly attends lunch clubs on rotation, so you can choose to wait and chat with them directly if that’s easier.

This one-to-one support is not available to adults who are not attending or taking part in one of our clubs or groups.

The Community Worker is fully DBS checked.
