Andrea has lived in Teesdale for the last 2 and a half years after meeting her husband 8 years ago and marrying into a local Teesdale farming family. Previously she has lived and worked in Cumbria, North Yorkshire and rural Scotland, although originally she is from the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Her career for the last 15 years has been in charity management and development, both as an employee of voluntary sector support and front-line service delivery charities, a volunteer Trustee and also as a freelance charity consultant.

Her varied previous experience has included working overseas as a volunteer, gaining a post graduate qualification in Art Therapy, working with young and adult family carers and supporting young people with a special need.
